OUTLINE OF THE MAIN GOAL Experimental Agronomy research programme aims at developing cost effective and environmentally friendly coffee production technologies that enhance yield and quality, which can easily be adopted by the coffee growers.
RESEARCH OBJECTIVES In order to achieve its goal, the section has adopted the following objectives: - 1. To carry out intercropping and shade studies to identify crops/trees compatible with coffee 2. To develop packages for management of various plant densities in coffee 3. To develop integrated weed management strategies and evaluate new herbicides for weed management in coffee 4. To develop organic coffee production protocol
