OBJECTIVE:
The programme aims at working out methods of propagating of Ruiru 11 and other crops used for intercropping. Field performance of in vitro propagated coffee as compared to conventional propagated with regard to growth, yield and quality will be studied.

RESEARCH OBJECTIVES (HIGHLIGHTS)

• To work out protocols using different explants for propagating Ruiru 11.
• To assess the performance on the field of in vitro propagated Ruiru 11 as compared to conventionally propagated seedlings.
